How's it going? I hope it's going great!
Would you believe it if I told that you I accidentally deleted the core infrastructure for my newsletter, so I now have to set it up all up again? View the damage below...
 Notice how “professional” is now missing? Yeah, that wasn’t planned 😂 - oh and everyone’s preferences were deleted too 🤦. More on this later!
When this all happened I was, well, let’s just say less than "pleased” with myself…
HOWEVER I’m now taking this as an OPPORTUNITY to improve on a lot of things which I wasn’t able to before. But I know I can't do this without you!
SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADUE ALLOW ME TO PICK YOUR BRAIN/INFORM YOU OF UPCOMING CHANGES
My website will be undergoing lots of changes to its structure and content, in particular, to better explain what I do - as well as make it more interesting! You’ll see this happen live on my website so please bare with if there are any issues with it.
My newsletter will be changing too, in particular I’d like to change my categories to the following:
- Friends: Personal/Life Updates, Hobbies Posts, Creative Writing
- Colleagues/Clients: Case Studies, Portfolio Updates, Partnership Announcements
- Learners: Academic Publications, Resources (such as templates, suggested apps, frameworks, etc)
- Product/Service Offering Updates: Marketing! For when I am releasing new and exciting things for which you may wish to hear about :))
You’ll get an email to update set preferences again once I implement this - hopefully this week!
As part of both updates to the newsletter and my website I am also going to add the following:
- User Testing Group: A list of very helpful folks who are open to giving feedback on features and ideas such as my newsletter, product/service offerings, website/workflows, etc. Current plan is to just keep these as discussion via email but I may invite some of you to chat with me to hear all your wonderful ideas, if you are so inclined :)
- Preferred Language: This is something I may or may not be able to implement, but I would like to enable you to receive your newsletter posts/view my website in a different language. I know automated translation exists on internet browsers but this doesn’t always have the intended effect. If I’d be able to do this, I’d love to begin with Polish. If this is something you think you would like, I’d love to hear which languages you think would best to include.
Okay that’s great, what am I meant to do with this information?
I will reach out again later but for now, I would like to know if you:
- Would like to be notified about new services or products that I may offer
- Would like to be included in my user testing group
